I have memories of the dulcimer unit in my elementary school music class. Picture a bunch of third graders plunking out something that was SUPPOSED to resemble "Go tell Aunt Rhodie." You know the one; the final line being "Go tell Aunt Rhodie the old grey goose is dead."

Wonder how the chicken would like playing THAT song?

I wonder whether somebody at storytime thinks, "Oh, if only I had time to ditch this puppet I could do the next part of storytime. 80 people-- I can't beLIEVE it!" or whether they go home and practice "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" while wearing a chicken hand puppet.

Either way, it's pretty interesting!
